Therapeutic work with animals always poses challenges for us. Dogs and horses often develop disorders in the musculoskeletal system that can only be treated with an extremely high level of experience and one’s own physical exertion. For the layman, it is hardly possible to do the animal any good and alleviate suffering without medical support.
With the UMATI, it is possible for therapeutic laymen as well as for animal therapists or veterinarians to apply a gentle yet effective form of massage. By tapping the animal’s body, a relaxing state is achieved, local stagnations can be treated effectively and at the same time gently. The application does not differ in its type and execution (technique) from the application on humans.
With the UMATI we can give our animals a soothing, holistic tapping massage at any age and health stage.

QUESTIONS & ANSWERS
As with us humans, it is individual and unpredictable how an animal will react to the treatment with the UMATI. Show the UMATI to your animal. Let it sniff it and invite your animal to relax and trust you. Of course, there are extremely skittish, sensitive animals for whom treatment with the UMATI is not recommended. However, our experience shows that most animals enjoy the treatment after a short period of getting acquainted with it.
Does your animal lean back and relax? Does it let its tail fall loosely, does it hang its head loosely, does it put its ears on with ease? Does it breathe calmly and evenly and are its eyes gently closed? All this signals to you that your animal is doing well and that the treatment will be positively received.
As with human application, the UMATI is safe and easy if used properly. Keep the instrument away from body orifices, open wounds and your pet’s eyes. The animal must not chew on the UMATI. Tap very gently at first in the area of the ears to keep the volume of the rod‘s vibrations comfortable for your animal.
The UMATI is available in different strengths and versions. The model “Brise” is suitable for small animals. “Sturm” and/or “Orkan” are suitable for larger to large animals.
