The UMATI™ Professional is a therapeutic instrument for manual use. It is composed of over one hundred flexible metal spokes, which are gathered into a bundle. To guarantee the highest possible quality, the UMATI is exclusively manufactured by hand.
 
In Tibetan Medicine, the wind is one of the three principal energies of the human body. The wind is responsible for all movement internal and external to the body, from the circulation of blood to the movement of limbs. The UMATI is a device that generates movement and transmits it to the body.
 
The UMATI is available in four different sizes associated with different wind strengths.

Treatment with the UMATI combines not only traditional and modern forms of massage but also tapping techniques that are used in physiotherapy as well as for emotion and stress regulation.
 
Tapping with the UMATI causes the steel and copper spokes to vibrate. These vibrations move like soft shock waves through the body and are absorbed deep into the tissues. This loosens the fascia and releases tension, reduces stress, and improves body awareness and movement. As a result, the immune system can be strengthened and the quality of life increases.

We created the UMATI “ORKAN” (50 cm, 1700 g) to treat deep-seated layers of the body. The UMATI ‘ORKAN’ comes into its own when working on bones or when used on patients with a lot of tissue.

The wide contact area of the UMATI ‘Sturm’ (50 cm,1085 g) is perfect for use on the entire body, especially larger body parts such as the pelvis or the shoulders. Tapping boosts the circulation of blood and the live force “chi”, which can become disrupted or stagnant because of a more sedentary lifestyle, emotional upset or injury. Use the UMATI ‘Sturm’ for stand-alone therapy or as a complement to any manual treatment.
